Plaza Premiere

The El Paso Community Foundation contracted Substance to design a magazine that was to be a special commemorative publication celebrating the much anticipated reopening of the Plaza Theatre and Performing Arts Centre.

We teamed up with Piñata Publishing who handled the editorial content and advertising sales that helped subsidize the magazine. Together we utilized some of the best local writers and photographers whose talents are included within the publication.

Substance designed and produced the Premiere to creatively reflect in print the grandeur that was and is the Plaza Theatre and Performing Arts Centre. Design details and colors draw from actual ornamentation to be found within the interior of the historic theatre. The magazine is a fascinating and entertaining collection of stories that bring generations of El Pasoans back to our beloved theatre and introduce a new generation of people to the Jewel of the Southwest.

The perfect-bound Plaza Premiere is printed in full color plus a gold metallic throughout with a print run of 40,000 issues. They are available at all Plaza Theatre events.
